Mother + Daughter {Kelowna Portrait Photography}

For Kiana's 13th birthday, her awesome mom took her out for brunch, then to Mac for a makeover, then to meet me for a fun photoshoot!  Kiana told me it was her most favorite gift she'd received!  In the quick hour that passed, I realized that Kiana is one special teenager.  She has a strong love for music, a smile that could light up any room, and a warm and beautiful personality.

The B Family

It was a pleasure to shoot this family again!  When I took their photos last Fall, it was a grey, cloudy day, so it was wonderful to have a sunshine-filled day this time!  I met them at their parents beautiful acreage in Kelowna and was blown away at the beauty of the property.  Between the orchards, the gardens, and the incredible architecture and decor of the home, it was a dream!

I'm going to use this post to debut my new company name....Melissa Lynne Photography!  There's a new website and blog in the works and I'll post all that new information on here when it's done!

The *F* Family (Oliver Family Photography)

How do you celebrate a 40th wedding anniversary, a 60th milestone birthday, and Mother's Day all at once??....... by leaving the kiddies at home, and joining your family together for one fabulous and long-overdue adults-only vacation in wine country!  

I had been looking forward to this shoot for many months and as the plans fell into place my excitement grew.  This family reminded me so much of my own family, so I knew I'd have an amazing time photographing them!  I met them in Oliver, at Silver Sage winery, and was welcomed in on the fun!  In the 2 hours I spent with them there was beautiful sunshine, yummy wine tastings, random stops on the side of the road for quick photo op's, and tons of laughs!  I even received a bottle of my favorite wine as a thank-you!  A perfect day!

   

The Beginning of Sweet Summer Nights... (Personal)

As the weather turns wonderfully warmer, my favorite time of day begins to emerge........that sweet hour in between dinner time and bedtime.  The kids bellies are full, their energy is high, and outside is the best place to be!  Add the gorgeous flowers into the scenery and it doesn't get any better than that!
